Around 200 to 300 Filipinos die every year because of rabies (PCHRD). Furthermore, most of the reported cases of rabies are caused by domestic pets. While the virus usually comes from animal saliva, it can also be transmitted to humans through biting and scratching. Thus, it is important to raise people’s consciousness to the dangers of this infectious viral disease.
